Schedule your appointments, working with little supervision, good balance of in person and office work. Skilful team support from fellow case managers.
Cons
Low pay! Would still be working here if it weren't for such low pay. I had a abiding rotation of supervisors leaving and coming when I worked here. Sometimes it felt like we weren't helping improve clients but just maintaining or them being dependent on us for tasks they could get help with else where like rides/groceries. Minimum requirement for billable hours and the clients often no show, no telephone call

Some flexibility in schedule, training and experience for entry level clinical work, highly supportive supervisor on my pediatric home-based therapy team, become a "jack of all trades" due to specialty training and supporting children/teens with various needs, setting clinicians upwards well for futurity task prospects

Poor work-life residual due to caseload demands, possibility of driving all effectually the land for home visits, inconsistent referrals, and billable productivity expectations

The staff I worked with were family to me.
Cons
The level of disrespect-- the disregard for personal fourth dimension versus work balance meant nothing to management. Totally inept upper management for time management. Constant lack of planning on their part was ALWAYS an emergency on yours to pull them out of a bind. Information technology mattered non because I was a salaried employee and non entitled to overtime pay or comp fourth dimension. My choice was to either suck it up or quit. After more than eighteen years, I had enough time for the benefits I needed and quit. I was not and am not the simply employee who can adjure to this. Gateway was like a decent into the bowels of hell with unrealistic expectations.
